Wetherby Bandstand

Time for our annual visit to Wetherby Bandstand today and what a day it was down by the river with a large and appreciative audience as we have become accustomed to and the fine weather although it had its windy moments.

It was also a day where we had to say goodbye to our Bass trombone player Ian Woffinden who unfortunately due to work commitments has had to call time on his playing career for now but we wish him all the best for the future. Nevertheless he performed a fantastic solo Mr Sandman with his fellow trombonists Diane Mann and Michael Dean who carried on regardless even while the wind took control of there music.

We must mention Andrew Thompson as well who can be seen on the Wetherby Bandstands Facebook page performing the Piper of Dundee, which went down very well with the audience.

Lets hope for another great visit next year.

The band would also like to take this opportunity to thank Ian for all his hard work and commitment during his time with us and wish him all the best for the future.
