This was the first contest for a few years, So why not go and enjoy it coach booked, band ready. We set off at 4pm including the nice big box of pies which has now become customary on all the bands bus journeys.
The weather was great for the whole evening, which of course meant a good gathering of spectators for the event. We were the last band of the evening to perform enabling us to enjoy the atmosphere and listen to some of the competition. This must have been a good thing as we were awarded Best 2nd Section Band and 3rd overall. Fantastic result.
